Team Tinga Curling Season

















Well this year was the first year Tinga's Hats decided to have a curling team. The Intramural Curling League at UMD started off its season in later October. All of the players were rookies this year and we finished with better than a .500 record so we are all happy. Here are some pictures from this season.

Duluth Too Nice Premiere

Everyone make sure to make arrangements to make it to this special event. After Last years first MN collaboration Too Nice is the second installment. Featuring MN skiers MN locations and MN music. This movie is a genuine representation of what Tinga stands for. Tight knit community of friendly patrons with similar ideals and motives. Check it out.

Flying Penguin Rail Jam

For all of our friends in the Mankato area or those who are willing to drive for some preseason rail jammage. Flying Penguin Sports Shop in Mankato, MN is hosting a rail jam this sunday for those so inclined to participate.

Tinga DIY Winners

As this contest came to an end I can say we were happy with the diversity of entries we saw. We were also delighted with the creativity shown with entries ranging from fashion forward projects to large scale public defacing. Now without further ado here are the winners:

Tinga DIY Contest

    Alright guys. This will be our first contest and we are pretty excited about it. A hand made feel is important to us here at Tinga's Hats. This is why we slave over our products, so that they arrive to you they have that feeling of being hand made.
    So first of all you need to be a fan of Tinga's Hats on facebook. If you are not currently here is the link: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Tingas-Hats/  hit become a fan to be eligible. The goal of this contest is to build, make, fashion, paint or construct the word TINGA in the most creative way you can. Post a picture of your creation on the facebook wall. Plain and simple.
    These projects can be as large or as small as you want. They can be made out of anything you want as well. Just as long as you can spell Tinga correctly and have fun with what you make you are eligible to win one of three prize packs.
    Third place receives a New Trinity Tinga Hat and a new Tinga Rice Sack. Second place receives Trinity Hat, Rice Sack and Tinga Headband. First places walks away with a brand new Tinga Hoodie as well as a Trinity Hat and Rice Sack. Total prizes worth close to $200.
    Video will drop on Monday to show prizes and talk a little bit more in person about this contest. Contest ends in one month on May 19th 2010 to give you plenty of time to get into your projects and produce the best thing you can. Any questions about the contest can be posted on the facebook wall. We look forward to seeing you projects.

Freeskiing in the Olympics?

This debate has been long on going since skiing has begun to get more public attention via the x-games. With a larger audience some people feel it is about time skiing hit the global screen in the Olympics. Of course, there are those who oppose this idea.
